It rained all night. I had a dream I was working for an aristocrat who looked like Rufus Sewell. He found me stolid and unsympathetic and said he wouldn't have given me the job if I hadn't been a relation. He asked for a pie and a kipper for his tea- and I was in the process of hunting them down when I woke up.

I couldn't get back to sleep- too excited about the baby I suppose- so I got up, made a cup of tea and spent half an hour reading about the battle of Marston Moor. After that I slept through till breakfast.

Aria, I've discovered, is Hebrew for "lion".

It's also Italian for 'song' ('air' in that sense of the word) so there's a lovely double meaning :o)
