Most of what you see is the work of the ubiquitous Gilbert Scott family, but there's a genuine medieval church under the Victorian shell.

As you know, I'm not a fan of George Gilbert Scott after he tried to turn my lovely Romanseque home cathedral into a gothic fantasy.

Oh, and the Albert Memorial! Which was a sad and sorry sight when we visited in 1998...
