We were comparing notes on the care of elderly parents- and what a trial they can be- and one of us asked him how old his mother was and he said, "56"- which is 6 years younger than me.
The 56 year old mum must be disabled. Nobody needs elder care at age 56 unless they're very ill. Huh Just a different set of circumstances. I'm 60 and nowhere near old. ;)
Haha! She must be doing pretty badly, to need care at that age. My parents are both nearing 60 and would probably disown me if I mentioned the word 'elderly'.
Curiously, I read earlier in the day of pyat opining that a new intern referred to "an old couple", later discovering that they were born in 1968 and 1969. ^_^;
