From DLA To PIP
Feb. 22nd, 2013 11:13 amAilz has received her letter about the transition from DLA to PIP. We've been bracing ourselves for an official going-over ever since the change was announced but we're now informed that long-established cases like Ailz's won't be due for re-assessment until 2015 at the earliest. It gives us a breathing space. By the time they turn their attention our way I'll be on the brink of drawing my pension. Besides, a lot can happen in two years- a change of government for instance.

Date: 2013-02-22 02:29 pm (UTC)A great deal of distress has already been caused. There have been monstrous mistakes- with people being declared fit to work on their death-beds etc, etc. Numerous people have been put through such hell they've died of the strain or committed suicide.
