A Hectic Day Out

Odi wanted to go to the Slavery Museum. There's an exhibition of West African artefacts and mocked-up mud huts just inside the entrance (but nothing from Cameroon); she explained how the drinking horns were for chiefs only and how she'd slept on a bed with a bamboo mattress like the one on display. Fabi was inclined to take everything personally- "Look Fabi, there's some swords..... for fighting with." "I don't want to fight"- and was under the vague impression that it all had to do with pirates. He likes pirates (Who doesn't?) I carried Christa back to the car on my shoulders (it was parked half a mile away) and nearly decapitated her in a low doorway.

Yes, we're doing fine. It was nice to get out and about yesterday in the sunshine.
