I hadn't had this before. It's a grit made of nuts and spices which you eat with bread and olive oil.  It's good. It's North African. Ailz bought us several tins of it from Approved Foods- an online business that sells quality eatables (near or past their sell-by date) at rock bottom prices.

Sounds yummy.

The north African product I can't do without is the spice mix, ras el hanout, which I usually buy in Paris since I've never seen it this side of the channel.

It's a must have for things like couscous.

It's lovely! We first had it at Cafe Arriba in the Isle of Skye - had ciabetta dipped in dukka and olive oil, combined with a spicy seed mix. Yum!!!

I'm using naan bread- which I take to be close to the flatbreads they'd be using in Egypt or wherever.
