In Dreams

Kurt Leland is a composer and astral traveller. I spent much of yesterday on his blog. Other people's dreams can be thunderously dull but Kurt's aren't because (a) he writes very well and (b) they're about something other than his personal shit. 

He has prompted me to start keeping a dream diary of my own.  I've done this at times in the past but never for very long and never with any kind of system.

Composer and astral traveller is a fascinating combination. On the "other side" or, I guess, "the inner side", sound is construct-able. I don't know how to explain it....let's see...imagine that you have that condition of synaesthesia that allows you to see music in shapes and colors. That principle can be manipulated. And so, there is a field of "musical architecture" over there...an artful science completely missing here in the physical world.

Yes, I can imagine that- sort of. I do fret sometimes at the limitations imposed on us in the physical world.

An example: a musical architect over there can compose an oratorical hymn in such a way that the sounds collectively build an astral church or temple. We can't do the same here, you are right. But some of the occult schools know the building blocks. For instance, the note D can be used to shape an isosceles triangle. The longer the note is held, the more elongated shall the apex be. And so on.

You can. Most likely, though, after you have dropped your physical body. Unless you get *very* skilled at astral projection. The problem with exploring the Otherwhere successfully, while still maintaining a physical body, is often in our inability to still our minds to see what is actually there. When we think a thought there, we manifest it, and so it is difficult to differentiate between objective and subjective astral realities. The vibratory rate of the physical body -- attached to the astral body by the silver thread or cord -- can affect this greatly.

Thanks for alerting me to this guy's books, too. I hadn't heard of him, before, and I wishlisted two of his books on Amazon.

Yes, I'm not really expecting to experience such things this side of the river.

I'd be interested to hear your opinion of Leland's books. His articles seem sound and sensible to me, but I don't have the hands-on experience to judge the reliability of his accounts of the Otherworld.
