The British establishment- just like the Catholic church- has coddled the paedophiles in its midst. That's what they're trying to hide from us. Simple really. Hardly a secret at all. The more flak they throw up the more they draw attention to the thing they're trying to keep safe.

MEN enable paedophilia. Men of all classes in all political cultures at all times in history. In children's homes, the abusers were likely to be - still are - those who work most closely with the children. They were the ones pimping them out for profit (every time I hear the adage about the 'oldest profession' I point out that pimping probably first). Teachers, school/borstal caretakers, priests and the comparatively wealthy and powerful simply have the ability to abuse the children of other people, whereas most are obliged to keep it in the home.

One problem, society seems to be schizophrenic. Nowadays, in the Anglosphere, there is a total witchhunt/jihad against pedophelia that's reached ridiculous proportions, in the UK taking pictures of a fully clothed child that you're related to who's performing in a play or playing a sport can get you in trouble, because "what if the picture fell into the hands of pedophiles?" On the other hand, it seems those who "know the right people" can essentially escape.

Second problem...pedophelia seems to be a convenient tool for pushing one's opinion. In the early 80's, there was a big fuss because ONE male daycare worker committed it and was caught...but social conservatives were quick to vulture...the 80's was the first FULL decade where more mothers were working than at home, and the ultra conservatives now felt that they had the ammunition to say "see, SEE? This is what happens when women give up their responsibility and give their children to strangers!" So they milked it for all it was worth, and major news networks..those with a conservative slant naturally ate it up, those who were liberal.....still took it because, well, SENSATIONALISM SELLS! So it's like having us all extra-scared of it is in the best interests of certain groups! I had an idea for some story I never wrote, where in the future, in the US, their war on pedophelia turns to ridiculous proportions that lead to Big Brother monitoring, witch-hunts, constitutional overhauls (including an amendment that says the government can ignore any other part of the constitution it deems necessary "to protect the children"), and eventually, children can't even live with their own parents, they're put in state-owned "nurseries" where they are raised by eunuchs. OH, and one-party rule (because the others "weren't doing enough for the children") But most likely, those "on top" would be able to get away with doing what they are supposed to be stopping, because, well, they can do no wrong!

On the one hand panic, on the other denial.

I guess we'll sort it out eventually- and get some sort of balance. Here in Britain we're freaking out because Jimmy Savile- well loved children's entertainer, charity fund raiser and friend of Royalty- has been revealed to have been a child abuser on an industrial scale.
