It's part of the reason I haven't maintained my recipe blog. I don't weigh or measure most things and can't always remember what I have chucked in.
Part of the fear people have of NOT FOLLOWING THE RECIPE. I sort of want to write recipes where everything is measured in handsfuls which is what I suppose our ancestors did.
PS - It probably seems like I am stalking you today. You are just very commentworthy (and I should be packing).
I used to be very careful with my teaspoons of this and quarter teaspoons of that- but now it's a case of shake the bottle over the pan until you think you've done it enough.
P.S. I rather like being compared to Mme Defarge. She's one of my favourite Dickensians....
