poliphiloWhat's the point of newspapers if they don't give you the news? Increasingly I find I'm turning to the Internet to learn what's really going on- as opposed to what the mouthpieces of the rich and powerful would like us to believe is going on.
Take the Savile affair. There's a mass of information out there that the papers won't publish. The name of the top Tory child abuser is only a click away.

Date: 2012-11-05 01:42 pm (UTC)As I write there's a story being reported on the BBC local news about new allegations of child abuse in care homes in Lancashire and Liverpool.
About 20 politicians- both Labour and Conservative- are being named as paedophiles on the Net. Some allegations are more plausible (and better attested) than others.
