The Guilty Persons and their learned friends are rushing around sticking fingers in dykes but it's too late now. The mass of information released by the Savile affair is just too much for them to cope with. One wave follows another. A whole lot of carefully nurtured reputations are going to be overwhelmed.

What of Murdoch and his flying monkeys? How long did it take them to discover the kiddie-diddlers and could they refrain from blackmail in the normal course of their business?

As one of our horrible media people once wrote: "Is it irresponsible to speculate? It would be irresponsible not to."

Also, since it's already a conspiracy, why now? Is it just the accumulation of claims emerging after Savile's death or something more?
