Peter And Odi

Odi is talking to Peter.  His mother, the Mother Superior (that's not me being facetious- she really is a Mother Superior) has told him he should be down on his knees to God asking forgiveness for treating Odi so badly after she went into exile with him. Odi has told him he'll have to give her proof of repentance and a changed attitude before she'll take him back.

Mind you, the Home Office has made it plain that there's no way he's moving in with her at her present address. My secret wish (not so secret really) is that one or other or both of them will fall in love (or lust) with someone else- and break the link. 

We need to go over and see her again. Maybe next week.

And try and talk some sense into her. And someone should speak to this idiotic "Mother Superior" and remind her that trying to put the abuser back with the ones he abused is sinful and criminal.

I don't think Peter's mother is trying to get them back together. All I read into what she's said is that she's very angry with him. Anyway, she lives in Cameroon so her influence is limited.

My chief fear is of Odi herself weakening. I'm sorry she's talking to him- and being exposed to his self-pity at first hand. It would be better if negotiations (and there do have to be negotiations because of the children)were being conducted through a third party.
