I've been speaking to Odi. She's on anti-biotics (just as Ailz is) for a chest infection. She's found herself a church and the church has some sort of social club where she eats lunch for £1 and the kids eat free. "English people are so friendly," she says and I tell her that's not what most people say about us. Christa wakes in the morning and first she asks for Daddy and then she asks for Nanna. Fabi has decided that one of the nearby streets is Numpa's street- and cuts up rough about wanting to see Numpa whenever he goes down it- so she's having to make sure she chooses another route. I said we'll go over and visit them once we've all stopped coughing and spluttering.

I'm glad Odi has found a friendly situation.
And I am assuming that you must be Numpa?
:)

Incomers to this country quite often mention how welcoming and friendly we are. Maybe they see something in us that isn't readily apparent to ourselves?

It seems so.

I suspect our reputation for being distanced and reserved has a lot to do with most visitors not moving beyond London.
