I guess it's time for me to shut down the media once again, like I had to do during the Vietnam debacle, and join the people in the street to demonstrate against yet another war.
Funny that we are pulling soldiers out of Iraq, yet plan to keep them a visible presence in other countries in the Gulf region, isnt it? We can hardly claim that the war is over under those circumstances.
As far as the Arab-Israeli thing is concerned, I am in favor of letting them go at it without us mixing in at all. Enough of this "Big Brother to the World" business!

And on a personal note, if the Republicans fail to retake the White House next year, I suspect that I shall lose all of my British friends. The reflexive contempt in which they hold America and Americans demands a contemptible American president, one that lives down to their expectations.
