May. 24th, 2011 09:28 amThe right to mock the rich and powerful is a very important right indeed. The Giggs case in trivial in itself but not in its wider implications.
I see a High Court judge has ruled that the injunction stays in place even though everyone in the country is going, "Giggs, Giggs, Giggs". This is daft. When the logic of the Law results in Pythonesque rulings it's time for adjustments to be made. Which is Parliament's job.

I like it how parliament and the judiciary have been butting their heads together over this. It's what they're meant to do. I believe it's called Division of Powers- and it's one of the safeguards of our democracy.
