Living With Diabetes

 Ailz gave a filmed interview on her diabetes this morning. The material will be cut into a short film for presentation to a medical conference- mainly of GPs- in Barcelona. It was a paid gig- and the company sent a car to transport us to their HQ in Wilmslow and back.

Ailz has started taking more care of her condition. She's now eating a GL diet- low on carbs and sugars- which means I'm working from a new cook-book. Today for lunch I made a mushroom risotto- only with barley in place of rice.

It'd a lot tougher- and to be honest, I'd rather have rice- but the flavour was fine. Barley doesn't really taste of anything in itself.
