A Canvasser

poliphiloA canvasser from the Labour party called. A handsome young man in a donkey jacket. I told him I might support Labour in the by-election that'll be coming soon in Old(ham East) and Sad(dleworth)- but I'd like to see their candidate first. Actually, reflecting on it, I don't see how I can possibly vote anything but Labour, now that a vote for the Lib Dems is effectively a vote for the Tory assault on the Welfare State.
