I'm reading How To Suppress Women's Writing By Joanna Russ (thanks for the recommendation, ide_cyan) and she has this fabulous quote from Virginia Woolf. 

As a woman I have no country

I like it so much that one of the characters in the novel I'm in the process of revising now has it printed on her T shirt. 

It contains the whole of history.  

Virginia Woolf is currently my god.
