Repent At Leisure
May. 14th, 2010 10:49 amAilz was talking to one of our creditors yesterday. He was so pleased with us for not taking the money and just running like hell that he offered her advice- gratis- on how we really didn't have to be paying our debt management company £300+ a year when there are government backed charities that would do the work for free.
We're not drowning in debt, but we did rather splash out during what I suppose we must now call the boom years- just like Chancellor Brown, in fact. Now we have to watch ourselves very, very carefully. No more plastic, fewer treats, shopping lists that have to be adhered to.
Following the advice of our kindly creditor Ailz is reshuffling our debts. They're chronic- nothing will make them go away- but it is possible to relieve the discomfort a little.
