It's The Oldham Accent

Two blokes, one in a hoodie, were chatting on the platform at Oldham Mumps*. The conversation was about beer and birds and technology.

Then one of them said. "You should have seen this fawn. It was so little."

I had visions of the petting zoo. Ah, I thought, he's getting in touch with his inner child.

And then he said something about ring tones.


*This is the name of one of the two railway stations in Oldham. I kid you not. The other is Oldham Werneth.
