Sep. 14th, 2009 10:32 amOdi dropped round and ate her lunch here yesterday. I'd been boiling up a turkey carcass to make stock- and she took the disgusting remnants home with her in a bag, with a view to boiling them up again to make even more stock. I like to think I practice domestic economy, but she shows me up as the affluent, thoroughly wasteful first-worlder I am.
As we were waving Odi goodbye, Nikisha from next door rode up on her pedal bike. She said they were having a party that evening to celebrate the birthday of her little brother who died.
