Swine Flu?

poliphiloWhat I should have done when my throat started hurting at 5 o'clock in the morning is got up, made a cup of tea and taken a couple of co-codamol. That way I could have temporarily stunned the virus and returned to sleep. As it was I lay there drifting feverishly between sleep and wake until breakfast time.
Ailz has been ill for a week. I started feeling symptoms a couple of days ago. We went to the doctor's this afternoon and she poked in our ears and looked in our throats and prescribed cough drops and saltwater gargles. Basically, there's nothing we can do about this thing except wait for it to go away.
What I really want to know is if we've got swine flu. Could be. The symptoms measure up.
