My friend [livejournal.com profile] chochiyo_sama asked to see more of the village....

The castle- a sinister place.

The Chapel- with two vampires chasing off a gang of thieves.

These two are up to no good

That is quite a work of art. Those expressions are priceless.

Cheers.

Painting the faces is the best part.

You've done beautifully with the facial expressions.
:)

Thanks.

The last two definitely look like they are up to no good!

I'm surprised the vampires didn't just snack on the thieves instead of chasing them off. LOL.

Thieves are sneaky- and quick on their feet.

That is so full of win.

Thank you.

It must be inspiring just making up a world!

I suppose it's a bit like writing a book. In fact it is. I started building the village while wrestling with a novel set in an alternative 15th century.

I’ve just added you to my friends page, I hope that’s ok.
By the way, I also live in the UK, in Plymouth

Very pleased to meet you :)

Thanks for the close-up shots. Charming! Modeling clay, paper mache, and paper? And the little people? What was it you said they are made of? I remember you showed some of them in a previous post a while ago.
Once upon a time, when there was less money to go around, we were encouraged to make our own playthings. Is that when you started making things like this?
Today's kids collect a lot of things, but they do not create very much at all.

The buildings are made of polystyrene and cardboard. The little people are wargaming figures. They're mostly made of lead or white metal. I bought them on the Net- mostly second-hand from eBay- and painted them myself. For more pictures, check out my Scrapbook- and the file entitled Adventures of the Small Explorer. :)
