Avebury

I calculated the distance at 30 miles but  it turned out to be more like 60 and the light was going by the time we reached Avebury. Unlike Stonehenge- the worst managed tourist attraction in the country- Avebury attracts only those who care for her- and the magic is unspoiled.

As for the low light- well- one makes the best of what one's got. It would have been good to spend a whole day there and photograph the stones in all sorts of different lights.
