Llandudno III

My favourite shot from yesterday. Llandudno is delightfully traditional. Not only donkey rides but also a Punch and Judy man. 



I like this one too.



And, finally- the Cheshire cat.  Alice Liddel (the original Alice in Wonderland) used to holiday in Llandudno and the Happy Valley gardens on the Great Orme are scattered with these delightful wood carvings of Wonderland characters.

Despite the obvious climatic and geographic differences, the donkey photo reminds me vaguely of Mijas on the Costa del Sol in Spain. They do the donkey ride thing up big there and pebbly beaches are the norm.

The ill placed knot hole and age cracks radiating from it on the Cheshire cat really do look like a bullet wound.Did you get more pictures of the Wonderland wood carvings? I really like the cat.
