Mary Of Egypt

                                    MARY OF EGYPT

 

                                    Tawny, parched, with matted hair,

                                    This is Mary the desert lion

                                    Stretching her bones across a rock.

 

                                    Our Mother Isis says to her

                                    "I too am Mary.  Christ was my son."
