Also on TV last night we had the second half of the 100 most annoying songs....you love to hate

We watched it all the way through- fools! 

It must be youngsters doing the voting. OK, Millennium Prayer is annoying but not nearly as annoying as the bouncy Euro-pop of Congratulations. Oh lucky young people, never to have been exposed to early Cliff!

(Though I'll admit to having a soft spot for Summer Holiday.)

The most annoying song of all time is the Titanic Song.

Boy, but that was a controversial decision!  Americans love Celine Dion. Brits think she's weird.

But not in a fun way.

You know what? I predicted it.

I am another American who does not love Celine Dion. I hope she holds her next concert in the middle of a freeway at rush hour.
One of my classmates sang "My Heart Will Go On" at our high-school graduation ceremony, and this has only cemented my hatred for that cyborg Canadian and her works.
I am probably not alone, since Celine no longer rules the stateside pop charts. American Idol graduates do, so the situation isn't much better, but still...

Maybe I was a little hasty in saying Americans love Celine. But that's how the experts divided on the show; the Yanks were for her and the Brits against.

Here in Britain we seem to have moved out of the Simon Cowell phase and the charts are once again full of real bands. I hope I've not spoken too soon....
