1. Ron and Sheila- Sara's parents- have written us a lovely email. We were all of us so sure of the future- Joe and Sara's future.  How long is it going to take before I can uncouple those names in my mind- Joe'n'Sara, Joe'n'Sara? It makes me all weepy to think about what might have been.

2. The ICM poll I took part in has been published. I was one of a random sample of 11,011 adults aged 18+. Apparently we're unhappy with Gordon Brown and give the Tories a 10 point lead over Labour.

3. There seems to be a ghost in our bedroom. We've both on several occasions heard someone cross the floor at night and assumed it was the other going to the bathroom-  only it wasn't .

Ron and Sheila must be just as disconcerted as you and Ailz are over the break up. How lovely of them to want to communicate.

Oh dear on 2 and do you believe in ghosts on 3?

Perhaps you have a mouse? Or are they footsteps you´re hearing.

Ron and Sheila allowed Joe to get very close. They thought of him as a son.

Yes, I believe in ghosts. And I'm rather thrilled to think we might be giving one house room.

We have mice too- and rabbits of course- but what we've been hearing have definitely been human footsteps.
