Tosh and Joe fight over territory (again).

Tosh sees Joe as another (very large) male rabbit and attacks him whenever he encroaches on one of his mats.

Tosh looks to be quite the rabbit warrior!

He is.

Oddly enough he doesn't mind me and Ailz. I guess we're members of his warren. But Joe is the outside, the enemy.

Well, he's beautiful!

That's a wicked glint in Tosh's eye. Joe will be finding that teddy's head in his bed before too long.

Or he'll reach under his bed- as has actually happened- and Tosh will rush out and bite his fingers.

I love pet psychology! (Seriously--I spent a lot of time getting into Nanook's head, and I think it's paid off. Though he still surprises me.)

I often wonder what our human world must look like from an animal's point of view. I suppose they accept whatever environment they're placed in as simply the way things are.

the cats in our house aren't allowed outside, but when we open the front door and just have the screen door shut, they love to sit there and look out. someone once observed that their looking at the outside world was like people looking up at the stars, and i thought it was true, and a bit sad.

I don't know about that. Nanook often tries to influence his environment in whatever way he can.

Not my bunny. "This is in my way, so I shall eat it," and "We shall now pull all of these items from point A to point B," and "Feh, molding, what kind of respectable wall has molding?"

And this obsession we have with putting electrical cords out of reach? Utter nonsense! Darwin will one day make his name very ironic...

Yes, indeed.

Our rabbits eat skirting boards, doors, books, newspapers, wastepaper baskets....

I rememeber we went to Howletts to look at Gorillas and our lecturer said we must be really boring to them because we just stand and look!

Ha!

I'm reminded of a Monty Python sketch in which groups of clowns and Dixieland jazz bands etc are deployed to entertain a cat.

The bunny's red eyes remind of the killer rabbit in "Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail." : - )

or bunnicula-- there's a series of children's books about a vampire rabbit named bunnicula who sucks the juice from fruits and veggies at night. it's told from the point of view of the family cat, who is the only one to figure out bunnicula's secret. i believe one of the books is called "the celery stalks at midnight".

Rabbits can be so territorial, even moreso than dogs. I´ve never been able to have rabbits live together and share the same space. I did have a rabbit and a guinea pig that got a long famously, though.

I love that grey fur.

We were told that we couldn't possibly keep two males together- or, indeed, two females.

Bunnies are ultra-violent, sex-mad, little brutes.
