I've been on an Agatha Christie kick. I read four Poirot novels one after the other. And now I've had enough. She's good, she's very good, but her world was beginning to feel a little claustrophobic;  there's too much missing from it.

So we were in Borders-  all the riches of world literature spread out before me-  and I couldn't find a single thing I wanted to read. I wandered around feeling jaded while Ailz filled her arms with books and teddy bears.

Then we had a cup of coffee and went on into the centre of town and I bought myself a couple of jig saw puzzles.

Just call me Susan Alexander.

And then we bought Ailz some pretty things to wear for Christmas.

Other than that, I read nothing but the twaddle I'm forced to digest from school textbooks. >:(

Anyway, good luck finding good books! One of the most worthwhile pursuits in life, I think.

Thanks for the pointers.

We have Everything is Illuminated. Ailz read it I think. Maybe I'll reach it down from the shelf.
