poliphiloI got suckered into watching Big Brother (UK version) last night. They told me they were putting out an extended edition because something momentous had happened. Well, nothing momentous happened. I think what they were referring to was an incident where the stroppy lesbian girl wrote something on a mirror in defiance of the rules. Big Brother (who has a very young voice) intervened and said he was going to evict a housemate as punishment (only he didn't.)
When he finally gets round to it, I can't see it being the stroppy lesbian who goes; she's too interesting and instructive. She was defending her transgressive attitude by saying she has her "own agenda"- and though she didn't explain further, it's clear she intends to bring about the dictatorship of the proletariat by picking fights with her housemates and writing "fuck" and "piss" and "equality" on the walls (and mirrors.)
Oh, the plangency, oh the sorrowfulness! Are we human beings really such silly, snippy, bickering, self-deluded creatures?
Answer: yes.
