Tiring House

 Family coming to visit and I need to put on my paterfamilias face. It's not the best fit. 

Right now I'm in my dressing room- or tiring house to be Shakespearian about it- waiting for my cue. Things will become easier once I'm on stage.

I like quiet. And you don't get much of that with a small kid in the house....

for self defense
teach the kid to sing instead of screeching

and teach them songs you like

it doesn't need to be a lullaby

'you are my sunhine"

or Beethoven or vivaldi..
or ask then their favorite song
might be Disney
but music is way better than screeching

Something this kid likes (and I was the one who introduced him to it) is the Can-can from Orpheus in the Underworld.
