poliphilo I haven't heard or read anyone say "check your privilege" for a long time now. Has that trope had its day? I hope so.
The first few people to deploy it had a point. Then it was a cheap way to close down a debate. Eventually it became a way of saying, "Look at me, I'm a twit"....
