Dionysus And Ariadne

 I was introduced to the Greek myths at an age when I was still lisping my "th"s (something to do with teeth I assume) and calling them "miffs"- which my family found funny- and consequently they are fixed in my psyche- deep down- forming a kind of bedrock on which other imaginings can be based   Hence minotaurs.

And minotaurs lead  to Ariadne and Ariadne leads to Dionysus and Dionysus leads to the sacred vine and the sacred vine leads to the grail....

(By the way, The myths maintain that Dionysus came into Greece from India)
