Storm Ciaran Blows Through

 Storm Ciaran has been doing a lot to advance the cause of autumn, stripping off leaves and branches and dumping them in the street. We had a severe weather warning and Ailz said I shouldn't go down to the beach in case a big wave swept me away, but what's the point of moving to the sea if you stay inside whenever it puts on a show? A fair bit of beach had been chucked up onto the promenade overnight, but by the time I got down there, mid-morning, the tide was out and the waves were lively but not mountainous.
