I'm No Good At This
Jun. 3rd, 2006 10:20 amTwo blokes showed up at the door last night, asking if they could see the house. They didn't have an appointment, but they were very apologetic about it so I let them in.
No, this isn't a horror story; they were very pleasant and respectful. They asked a few questions about the cracks in the ceiling and stuff like that, but this was absolutely their right.
And they left me feeling so churned up inside I could have cried.

Date: 2006-06-03 06:33 pm (UTC)When we moved into this house I kept wondering why the last owner left, and hoping that she had moved on to something she liked even *better,* because I hated the thought of her having to leave such a beautiful house and having these strangers (us) come in and change it all up.
I hope we never have to move. I'm not sure I could handle saying goodbye.
**hugs** to you.

I'm trying to be zen about it, but sometimes the mask slips
