Seeger Sessions
May. 31st, 2006 09:38 amFirst thing this morning, while we were making breakfast, I put on the CD of Bruce Springsteen's Seeger Sessions. Normally I drag round the kitchen, moaning and groaning; this morning I was dancing a jig.
Yes, really- "fitting it heel and toe".
This is the Boss reacting to Bush and the Bush years and saying,"there's a deeper finer, American tradition than the one you represent."
Only it comes out as "old Dan Tucker was a dirty old man/ Washed his face in the frying pan." Gorgeous! Just gorgeous!
