Ailz is on a three day course. She rang yesterday morning to say she might be bringing home a fellow attendee who didn't have a bed for the night and I thought I'd better take a flow test before meeting a stranger.

The red line showed up immediately- even before the control line appeared- and there was I thinking I'd gotten through the pandemic unscathed.

Official guidance on covid etiquette- once so prescriptive- has dwindled to a shrug and "Do what the wilt is the whole of the law". Even so I plan to keep myself tidied away until I know I'm no longer infectious.

It's best to do the public spirited thing and keep away from others until you're no longer infections. You never know whether someone may be vulnerable or be left suffering long-term after effects. Our daughter was unwell for months after "recovering" from covid. She ended up paying for private blood tests and treatment and is now, thankfully pretty much 100% again.
