Before The Swallow Dares

We drove down Cuckoo Lane- which is very narrow and twisty and sheltered between high hedgerows- and there were daffodils blooming on the verges. These are the first I've seen this year.

Already? Sounds so very lovely! We still have lots and lots of snow and cold air too. Of course it is more expected here, up North, and I do like snow but still... picturing those tiny little daffodils makes me happy. :)

There were daffs out a fortnight and more back here which was also unexpected!
