I often dream I'm browsing through bookshops and old curiosity shops, but last night's expedition was rather different; the shops were about to be bulldozed- along with their contents- and we- the customers- were helping ourselves- for free- to anything we liked. We weren't looters, we were exercising discrimination; I had filled my pockets and a small basket with items- but really there wasn't all that much worth saving...
