A Curious Sequence Of Events

 I went to bed with a sore throat which was steadily getting worse. I told the germs they had chosen an inconvenient time to show up- what with me having to open the Meeting House in the morning- and they were to go away. This isn't something one is supposed to be able to do but I believe otherwise- and my throat eased within minutes.  Then I had a dream that someone had me by the arm and shoulder and was marching me into church. It was completely dark and we were going very very fast- at a kind of super-charged goose-step- and though I didn't know who my guide was I trusted them not to run me into an obstacle. This morning my pulse and blood pressure are both raised. I got Ailz to check them. "Very high,"she said. "Danger of a stroke". 

"Nonsense", I said, "I have no intention of having a stroke."

But I do wonder what comes next....

Update

 Ailz took a second bp reading and the result was less alarming. I ordered the pain off the premises last night but the cold that was causing it lingers on. Still, I've got through the day pretty well. Now I just  feel sleepy.
