In Lockdown

Ailz has tested positive for covid so we've put ourselves in lockdown. She feels achey and thinks it wiser not to eat anything- but is sitting up in bed, reading, with the cat in her lap. I may well have it too but as long as I feel reasonably OK I'm going to act as if I don't. Laundry needs doing, lawn needs cutting. It's a bright sunny day...

True Detective

I was seven or eight- and the other kids were playing cops and robbers ( a game that involved rushing around going Nee-Naw like a squad car) and wouldn't let me join in. "I'll show them" I thought. "and do some real life detecting" So I went shuffling round the playground scrutinizing the flowerbeds for clues to undiscovered crimes. When the others asked me what I was doing I acted mysterious.
