Dark Brown

I had a dark brown dream in which I was one of the supporters of an American football team and our gang was building up to a ruck with an opposing gang- in which we knew- because dreams are timeless- that people were going to get killed. Things happened, but I can only vaguely remember what they were because the essence of the dream (as so often) wasn't incident but feeling- and in particular the felt experience of being part of a close-knit, inward-looking group (it could just as well have been a family or a church or an army or commercial enterprise) and how warm, comfortable, borderline erotic and stifling it is.
