Taking Risks

The horses are in the upper field and the lower field is full of ragwort so Chris has shut the gates between them and reinforced the point by fastening the gates with twine and it's a pain to undo the knots and tie them again- and so I've been accessing the lower field by climbing over a low wall., but....We had a couple of kids here yesterday- and I took them metal-detecting in the lower field and one of them- the 12 year old- vaulted the wall- which shows how low it is- and I was clambering over it- backwards and forwards- and every time I landed on the far side I lurched and staggered- which made me realise how much I've been pushing my luck.
