Rain

I understand the 30 degree temperatures will return later this week, but right now it's raining- and it feels wonderful. I feel I should go and stand at an open door and watch. All that lovely water- and it's not costing us a penny.

Girls Rock

It rained all day, but there were periods when what was in the air was more like mist than rain- and during one of those interludes I walked down to the beach at Winchelsea. Three of the kids came with me- all the girls in fact; the boys stayed behind in the caravan with their games and cartoons.

The sea was rough, big breakers rolling in with a strong wind behind them. I kept out of reach of the incoming tide, but the kids took their sandals off and walked out over the pebbles and stood in the surf.
