The situation was familiar- I had a church service to take and time was running short- but the complications were something else. First I had to take a shower and the bathroom was full of random people- and then I didn't know where my shirts were- or my clerical collars- and then I had to run up the hill- by which time I was 15 minutes late- and finally- when I reached the top of the hill- the church had been replaced by the office of the President of France who was leaning out of a top floor window, shouting at his assistants on the ground.

This chap lives in a display case at the Rochester Guildhall Museum. The label says "Iron Age"- and I don't suppose there's much more to be said. The Iron Age in Britain lasted for something like 600 years and its culture and history are obscure, emerging into a faint and flickering light with the arrival of the Romans. I find him tres sympathique and like to think of him as an ancestor.
