The Wheel Is Still In Spin

Our neighbour- friendly American lady- somewhat younger than us- dropped by this morning with a fistful of azalea blossoms for my mother- and we talked about how they're still interested in buying our property and.....

Every time I decide that we're staying here for the duration I get a nudge to make me think again.

We've left it that her husband will call on us at the weekend and we'll talk some more. Last time we dealt with them it was through an agent; this time it'll be person to person. I know he'll want to haggle us down but we have a sticking point and we're not desperate to sell.

Meanwhile we have ongoing plans for modest home improvements. First thing this morning we had an all-round handyman call (an associate of Matthews) and he's going to be pricing up the work we want done in the boiler room and kitchen.

Breezy

I put newspaper in the paper bin (which doesn't have a lid) and then, later, collect it from all over the front garden.
