Unexpected Development

 A man and a woman turned up on the doorstep yesterday- quite out of the blue- saying they'd heard from some of our neighbours that we might be thinking of selling the house. The neighbours in question are people whose property backs onto our lower field- and we've never actually been introduced. It's a marvel how news spreads in a rural community....

I said "Erm....."

Anyway I gave them the tour. She seemed keen and he seemed wary. We'll see if anything comes of it.

We had more or less given up any hope of moving in the short term- but the ball we set in motion is still rolling.
