Returning To How Things Were Before
Mar. 4th, 2018 10:54 amI sat out on the patio yesterday afternoon while I did the Telegraph crossword- and the world dripped round me. There's still a little snow and ice on the ground this morning but the thaw continues. The daffodils have emerged a little less upright than they used to be but still preparing to bloom. One of the neighbours is firing a gun or guns. The older I get the less I like guns. Guns are filthy things. If humanity would only grow up and start being kind to itself there'd be no need or excuse for them.
I had a dream where I was wearily foot-slogging round a vast university campus looking for my grand-daughters. At least I suppose it was a dream; My brain says it was but my bones and joints say otherwise.
