Spiders

I like spiders. I'm less fond of the larders they accumulate in the corners of window bottoms.

Conservatives

Conservatives don't have a plan for changing the world- except by taking it back to how it was before- which if they have any sense they know to be a lost cause- and this makes them excellent and honest observers of the passing scene- equally sceptical of anything current or new. Some of the best journalists and satirists are conservatives.

In government- well- don't expect too much of them- and look to your liberties. Conservative visionary is a contradiction in terms.
